FAQ

It is our goal to provide you with the most comfortable experience.
Here are some of our most frequently asked questions about waxing.

Q: How long does the hair need to be to get waxed?

A: The hair needs to be about 1/4 of an inch long. Typically two weeks of growth from being shaved.

Q:Timing issue, can I wax during that time of the month?

A: Absolutely! However you may be a little more sensitive during your menstrual cycle.

Q: Whats the difference between all your bikini services?

A: Bikini Line: is a basic tidy; anything that can be seen outside of a swimsuit. Top and sides.
Bikini Full: is as much or as little taken off as you'd like! This service does not include the butt strip.
Brazilian: is everything taken off as much or as little as you'd like, with the added butt strip.

Q: How old do you have to be to receive a bikini service?

A: If under 18, we must have parental consent.

Q:What type of wax do you use?

A: We use a gentle hard wax! Hard wax is a type of wax that only attaches to the hair, and not to the skin.
Hard wax does not use any cloth or paper strips. It is more gentle and is great for sensitive areas!

Q: Do I need to trim up beforehand?

A: If you have more than 1/4 of an inch of hair, no need to worry, we take care of everything for you!

Before Bikini
Service
Instructions:

  • Have at least 1/4 of an inch of hair length

  • Gently exfoliate the area 48-72 hours before your wax. This will help loosen hairs from the follicle and encourage shorter hairs to come to the surface to be waxed out properly.

  • Feel free to take an anti-inflammatory over the counter medication 30 mins before arrival.

  • Ensure you are not on any prescription medications that will interfere with your waxing service.
Accutane and Retinol are both well known contraindications to waxing.
Please refer to your physician if you have any questions or concerns about other medications you are prescribed.

  • If you are on your menstrual cycle at the time of your appointment we ask that you wear a tampon or diva cup at time of service.

  • Try to come in with loose or comfortable clothing! This will reduce the risk of unwanted friction after your service.

After Bikini Service
Instructions:

  • Wear loose clothing after your wax as much as possible until redness or irritation has subsided.

  • Use aloe in the area if the area feels tender after your service

  • Keep skin as clean as possible, use an anti-bacterial wash or tea tree oil on the area.

  • Do not pick at any bumps you may have, instead, cleanse and soothe skin with aloe to encourage the skin to return to normal

  • Gently exfoliate the area 1-2 weeks after your service. Do this 2-3 times a week. This will help clear dead skin and allow the hair to come in without getting trapped or becoming an ingrown hair.

  • If redness or irritation is not gone within 24-72 hours from appointment, please contact us to give you further treatment.

  • Return for your next wax at recommended time (4 weeks)
